June is Jumping

June is busting out all over, especially in the realm of Kent County’s arts and entertainment activities.

We are very excited to welcome the National Music Festival which will begin Sunday, June 3.

First Friday (receptions 5:00 to 8:00 pm) in Chestertown offers the following:

The Artists Gallery at 239 High Street presents “The Dawning” – new oil paintings by Bonnie Foster Howell.

Artworks at 306 Park Row features “Beyond the Windows: Everything Glass”.

Chestertown Arts League on 312 Cannon Street will take feature the 10 th annual judged photography show: “A Moment in Time”.

The Artists at Cannon Street Studios (behind Chestertown Arts League) will show pastels by Mary Pritchard and hand-knit sweaters by Sue Wright.

The Friday Morning Palette group presents a show at 200 B High Street.

The Collection at 114 South Cross Street is Chestertown’s newest gallery. Created by Susan Kerns and Doug Cutter the gallery will feature displays of fine art, antiques and modernism.

Kent County Public Library is showing the work of the Tidewater Camera Club and Radcliffe Creek School students.

Carla Massoni Gallery 203 High Street continues the Annual Exhibition by Marc Castelli – Hawkins is at the Door.

Hogans’ Art Gallery, 100 Memorial Plaza will exhibit the paintings of Patricia Herlihy

Garfield Center for the Arts at the Prince Theatre:
Bollywood comes to Chestertown featuring Indian film, food and culture – plus meet this year’s Artist in Residence, Indian filmmaker Preeya Nair! FREE and open to all ages.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church concert series: (corner Cross and High) 7:30- Internationally known organist Ken Cowen.
